Welcome to our wedding transport discussion! A clear travel plan helps guests arrive comfortably and know how they will get home, especially when the ceremony, reception and accommodation are in different places.

    Build your transport brief

    • Passenger numbers: count guests needing transport separately from the bridal party, and confirm whether anyone will travel only one way.
    • Pickup locations: group guests into practical meeting points where the vehicle can stop safely.
    • Timing: work backwards from the required arrival time. Allow for boarding, traffic and the walk from the drop-off point.
    • Vehicle requirements: discuss luggage, prams, mobility aids, step access and any child seating requirements directly with the operator.
    • Venue access: confirm the driveway, turning space, parking and approved pickup area with both the venue and transport provider.
    • The return journey: decide whether you need an early departure as well as a final shuttle, and agree on a contact person.

Make the instructions easy to follow

Send guests the pickup point, departure time and return arrangements before the day. State the time the vehicle leaves, rather than leaving guests to guess whether it is an arrival or departure time.

Ask for a written quote showing the vehicle, service hours, stops, waiting time and any additional charges. Confirm accessibility needs individually rather than assuming a vehicle will suit everyone.

    What are you planning?

Tell us your region, approximate passenger numbers and whether you need bridal transport, guest shuttles or both. If you have organised wedding transport before, what made the day run smoothly?
