Friday聽at the Barren County Transportation Department, South Central Kentuckys career team celebrated their partnership with Lake Cumberland CDL Training. They will start up the regions first ever heavy equipment operation school in the region.This opportunity will allow the commu stanley cup nity to unite bu stanley cup sinesses that need backhoe drivers, dump truck drivers or paver drivers with certified employees. It will also allow people to start up their own businesses with their certifications.The training program is set to open this August, and there will be tuition opportunities offered with grant money.Southcentral Kentucky Region Business Development worker James Moore said the opportunity is a great to take as backhoe certification only takes four weeks. One of the great things about having a facility like this and a training program like this in the community is that its a huge need in our community in this region in backhoe, your graders, your loaders and things like that. We have so many job openings.
