If you ;re not familiar with Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, now is the perfect time to make an introduction. Former SNL cast member Jenny Slate lends her voice to the most adorable mollusk h stanley cup ome around. Watch, and feel all warm and fuzzy and wonderful. The rest of this week top web comedy videos, including a Thanksgiving parade, a John Oliver interview, and Man on the Street who should find new employment, can be found over at Splitsider. Other highlights from the week in comedy: NBC dropped Community from its midseason lineup! We despaired can network comedies with long-term jokes even survive , we bargained we could all send NBC some chicken fingers! , we accepted maybe it not that big a deal . And we got some perspective by putting Community ratings in context. After lots of hemming and hawing, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association finally let Ricky Gervais host the Golden Globes for the third and l stanley cup ast time. Jack and Jill came out, to much fanfare. We spoke of the saga of the fake Jack and Jill Twitter account, we reviewed the movie itself, and we crossed our fingers that it ;ll break a Razzie record. We thanked you for y stanley us our lovely thank-you card. We interviewed Molly McNearney, the co-head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live. One complaint that viewers have about Arrow is it more of a soap opera than an action series. We ;re going to embrace the soap in this episode, and rate Arrow many relationships from most to least functional. Surprisingly, Deathstroke has just fostered the most functional relationship of the stanley cup show by far. Betrayal is the kind of transitional episode that every show needs when it has to make a difficult emotional turn. It light on villainy and heavy on talk. That makes it tough to recap, since it a lot of short scenes with people slowly adjusting to a new emotional reality. So instead of following the plot, we ;ll go with the many relationships and why most of them are a jar of mixed nuts shaken out over a fruitcake factory by a mad hatter during a full moon. To build drama, we will take the relationships from the least nutty on up. Deathstroke and Ollie Flashback Oll stanley kubek ie gets to a site on the map that the Archer 鈥?who from now on I ;m going to refer to as Yao Fei 鈥?marked. He immediately attacked and subdued by a guy with an Australian accent, who, it seems, Yao Fei also sent to that site. Australian dude needs a second person to escape the island via airplane but determines quickly that Ollie can ;t fight. Frustrated, the guy yells, To say that you fight stanley trinkflaschen like a girl would be a compliment. Look. Guy. Mel Gibson already did enough damage to the accent. Don ;t start that shit. USA Today announced the line-up of Marvel NOW all-new X-Men comic not to be confused with Marvel all-new Uncanny X-Men title or the all-new 8230; er 8230; All-New X-Men comic , and it turns out they ;re not men at all! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa stanley us /record scratch noise : However, with stanley termosky this new X-Men [writer Brian Wood] gets all the A-list X-women: The book main star is Jubilee, but it also includes Storm, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Rachel Grey and Psylocke. I feel like as far as the X-Men go, the women are the X-Men, Wood explains. Cyclops and Wolverine are big names, but taken as a whole, the women kind of rule the franchise. If you look at the entire world as a whole, it the females that really dominate and are the most interesting and cool to look at. When you have a great artist drawing them, they look so amazing and always have. Oh, Brian Wood. You had me right up until the book main star is Jubilee. Which admittedly wasn ;t very far, because it like the second sentence of the quoted selection. You really should have led with the other stuff, then kind of mumbled and maybe Jubilee isn ;t necessarily a supporting character under your breath at the end. Still, that aside, it does sound stanley thermobecher interesting: The drama is starting right away in X-Men, beginning with Jubilee bringing home an orphaned baby who might be key to mankind survival.
