Kim Dotcom newly launched Mega is determined not to get screwed over by the Feds the way MegaUpload did, a stanley cup nd the trick is encryption, lots of encryption. Mega really going that extra mile too; it using your random mouse and keyboard data to strengthen your crypto keys. https://gizmodo/kim-dotcoms-mega-is-now-open-to stanley mug -the-public-5977329 Cryptography relies on having complex keys to encrypt you data, and obviously those keys should be random. But if you know anything about computers, you know they ;re horrible at generating random numbers. They just can ;t do it. Instead, they ;ll take obscure variables like your computer clock time, and spin those out into something pseudorandom. If somehow you can find out the variable though, it not random at all. Mega taking that a step further by adding you to the equation; the way you twitch your hand on the mouse, or how you type out your username will get wrapped into your cryptokeys as well. And those are variables that are unlikely to be traced and damn near impossible to reproduce. Stuff like this isn ;t unheard of, but it goes a long way to show how serious Mega is about security. And that should come as no surprise since all that encryption is there to protect Mega more than it is to protect you. And with precautions like this, how could it not Update: On closer inspection of more skilled eyes, Mega ; stanley becher s crypto isn ;t quite as sexy as advertised. You might think Doctor Demento would have been celebrating Weird Al Yankovic or Barnes and Barnes instead, or some other humor-record artist. But Zappa and Demento were longtime friends, with Zappa appearing on Demento radio show as a guest several times, including in 1972 and 1988. In a special Worldcon presentation, Doctor Demento paid tribute to stanley website his friend with a tour of Zappa creative process and musical influences. Demento called Zappa the most major musical inspiration for me when I began the Dr. Demento Show, and he remains one of our half dozen most requested artists to this day. He talked about the complex harmonies, cross rhythms and a lot of virtuoso musicianship in the first piece he played, Don ;t Eat The Yellow Snow. He talked a lot about the ways in which Zappa recycled musical ideas over the y stanley cup ears, and referred to it as conceptual continuity. Wearing his tr stanley taza ademark top hat, Doctor Demento played some excerpts from Zappa music as well as some songs by other artists that Zappa had loved. He also played snippets of some of Zappa appearances on his show, so that the musician could speak in h
